Jennifer Grammatic

alt For the past 14 years Jennifer has trained in various styles of rhythm and smooth dances, while competing in Latin American Rhythm dances such as Cha-Cha, Rumba, Salsa and Samba.  Currently she is a part-time dance instructor for Poise, Style and Motion, specializing in rhythm/smooth dance styles and a full time Marketing Representative for SWCARC Center of Hope located in Southbridge MA, a day habilitation program and for-profit business developers of integrated work environments for persons with developmental/intellectual disabilities.

Growing up, Jennifer was an energetic and playful child that enjoyed trying new activities.  Her ability to adapt to challenging physical activities, such as gymnastics, became the building blocks of her athleticism.  While always having a love for music and the feeling of movement, it was not until her early 20’s that she found her love for dance.  “When I hear music of any kind I automatically start to sway with the beat.  That is how I know it is a part of my being.” says Jennifer.

Today, Jennifer continues other outside active hobbies such as cycling and running.  She completed her first half marathon on June 6, 2011, running in the 2nd annual Worcester Half Marathon.  “I would like to think I am a well rounded athlete with a ‘why not’ attitude.  It is inspiring for me to witness the growth of individuals who, when I first met them, didn’t think they were capable of the task at hand and find the amazement on their faces when they realize they are succeeding.  Anyone can dance.  It is simply allowing your body to feel and move while abandoning the embarrassment of expression.” says Jennifer.
