Shaun Cianci

Shaun CianciShaun Cianci is an amateur instructor for Poise, Style & Motion, where he has been dancing for over 4 years. Shaun has always had a great love for a wide array of athletics since his youth, participating in organized sports from the age of 4. Shaun was competitive in sports through his high school career at Worcester Vocational High School, where he played on the Varsity Football and Baseball teams, graduating in 2004. His interest in ballroom dance was piqued when flipping though television channels as a young boy, sometimes catching old Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers’ movies and the Ballroom Dance competitions on PBS, but it wasn’t until Shaun was 20 when he decided to study Ballroom at PSM.

Shaun has competed at various dance competitions over the past 3 years, and has won many awards in a variety of levels and styles and looks forward to continuing dancing in competitions, advancing to higher levels. Shaun has studied with Bill Morganti, National Dance Teacher’s Council Adjudicator and Coach . Shaun even met his long-time dance partner and girlfriend Jill Cloutier at the Eastern Dancesport Championship in 2008. Jill has said of meeting Shaun, “Who would have ever thought that I would have met my Prince Charming waltzing on the dance floor in Boston.”

When Shaun is not dancing, he works full-time in Construction; he is an apprentice plumber and pipefitter with welding certifications. A Worcester native, Shaun earned his Associates of Business Degree from Quinsigamond Community College in 2006 while congruently modeling for Karen Shea Model Management. Shaun is a current resident of Millbury that loves all things water: boating, jet skiing, and tubing, but his passion for dance dominates. Shaun has said that he “likes connecting with the music and being able to portray the emotion of music. It is impossible to be in a bad mood when I am dancing. Even when I am having a bad day, if I put on music and dance I start to smile and forget about all the bulls#^t.”
